The Political Parties and Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) has reinstated four female nominated MCAs in West Pokot who had been expelled by KANU party.
The four; Josephine Cheprum,Grace Rengei, Jackline Ripoo and Nancy Chombir had been expelled by the KANU party after being accused of misconduct, failure to adhere to party guidelines and code of ethics and for not paying their monthly subscription fees.
However, the Political Parties Disputes tribunal court overturned the expulsion pointing out that it didn’t follow due process.
Speaking outside the County Assembly following the reinstatement, the Jubilant MCAs said their expulsion had been politically instigated.
They said they had been targeted because of their political allegiance to West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo.
