Uasin Gishu County Assembly Deputy Speaker is bereaved after his wife, Doreen Lamai, succumbed to coronavirus on Tuesday.
According to sources, Lamai’s wife was rushed to an Eldoret Hospital for treatment but she developed Covid-19 related complications and passed on.
This comes just two week after the Uasin Gishu County Assembly lost Huruma Ward MCA Peter Chomba due to coronavirus.
Speaker David Kiplagat has sent his message of condolence to the family. In a post Speaker Kiplagat said he was shocked by the news.
“I am deeply shocked and heartbroken by the news of the passing on of Mrs. Doreen Lamai, beloved wife to Hon. Hosea Lamai, Uasin Gishu County Assembly Deputy Speaker and MCA Kapsaos Ward. Mrs. Lamai was a focussed and hardworking lady whose wise counsel will be dearly missed,” he said.
“On behalf of Uasin Gishu County Assembly fraternity, I wish to convey my heartfelt condolences to Hon. Lamai’s family for the unfortunate loss. Our thoughts and prayers to the family, their loved ones and the church. Rest In Peace, Mrs. Lamai,” he added.
