Deputy President William Ruto has mourned Police Corporal David Kiprotich Too, who at the time of his death was attached to his office, as a disciplined officer.
Expressing his sadness in Too’s passing, DP Ruto described him as a dependable, approachable officer who took pride in his work and strived to put things right.
“Our heartfelt condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of our staff member David Kiprotich Too. Corporal Too was dependable, approachable, took pride in his work and strived to put things right,”posted Ruto.
“We will best remember him for his humility, punctuality and team spirit. Rest In Peace, Corporal Too,” he added.
The officer committed suicide on Friday under unclear circumstances.
Too, 51, is said to have plunged himself into Ngeria dam, an incident that caught family members and relatives by surprise.
It is said he came home on December 29, 2020 for a family meeting before he drowned himself at the dam three days later.
Details about the incident remain scanty although his elder brother Aaron Sing’oei said the deceased arrived home with a camera which was later stolen after unknown people broke into his house the same day he arrived home.
