Kesses MP Mishra Kiprop has been nominated to the Parliamentarians for Peace Programme (P4P).
The body is a network of legislators from different countries around the world.
Mishra becomes the first Kenyan legislator and first East African member of the organisation.
“Having considered Hon. Dr Mishra’s illustrious political career and fronting of his ‘servant leadership’ philosophy and his extensive experience in the medical sector during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as his international background, P4P seeks in Hon Dr Mishra, leadership and a voice of reason for transformative global agenda,” the organisation said in a press statement.
Mishra joins 19 other parliamentarians from around the world.
“Our world needs political leadership. We cannot lose control of the digital revolution or waste time in the fight against climate change,” Mishra said in his acceptance speech.
